KNER Nyomda, Békéscsaba — thermal air purification

Bringing the solvent-laden exhaust air of the KNER Nyomda printing works into compliance with TA-Luft and Hungarian environmental regulations.

Bringing the solvent-laden exhaust air of the KNER Nyomda printing works into compliance with TA-Luft and Hungarian environmental regulations. In the TEVAN plant, collection of the solvent-laden exhaust air and installation of a thermal oxidiser; design, complete installation and commissioning of the process and piping connections.

Client: KNER Nyomda Békéscsaba

Piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), functional descriptions based on the P&ID for building the supervisory system, permit and detailed designs.

Main equipment:

One FLEXA 34 thermal oxidiser (made by Krantz-TKT), solvent-laden air inlet damper, extraction fan, thermal oil system up to the distribution header, valves and fittings, pipelines with thermal insulation, control components, Flexa 34 supervisory system.

About the equipment:

The Flexa 34 unit ensures compliance with the environmental emission limits by thermally treating the solvent-laden air extracted from the printing presses at 750 °C. Maximum flow rate: 38,000 m3/h; maximum solvent content: 14 g/m3. The heat in the 340 °C flue gas leaving the thermal oxidiser can be used to produce thermal oil at 230 °C, up to a maximum of 1,500 kW.
