MOL Nyrt. Danube Refinery — thermal air purification for the MSA plant

Bringing the off-gas from MOL Nyrt.'s MSA plant into compliance with TA-Luft and Hungarian environmental regulations.

Bringing the off-gas from MOL Nyrt.'s MSA plant into compliance with TA-Luft and Hungarian environmental regulations. Design, permitting, fabrication and installation of the thermal oxidiser; design, complete installation and commissioning of the external process and other connections.

Preparation of the permit and detailed designs, and permitting by the authorities. Supply, installation and commissioning of all auxiliary equipment required to operate the combustor boiler and the thermal oxidiser.

Main equipment:

One KEU thermal oxidiser with a capacity of 76,000 Nm3/h, reaction chamber, extraction fan, heat recovery boiler with feedwater system, stack with bracing structure, valves and fittings, pipelines with thermal insulation, control components, supervisory system.

About the equipment:

The thermal oxidiser ensures compliance with the environmental emission limits by thermally treating the air extracted from the plant, which contains organic compounds and solvents. The off-gases are burnt in a combustor designed to ensure thorough burn-out of the organic contaminants. Maximum flow rate: 76,000 m3/h. The heat in the flue gas leaving the thermal oxidiser is used to produce superheated steam in a heat recovery boiler. The cooled flue gas is discharged through the stack.
